🎙️ Solving data residency with Airflow and AWS ECS Anywhere

📣 Ivica Kolenkas, Data Platform Infrastructure Lead @ bestseller.com

Data is the new gold! But digging for gold requires a permit. Let’s explore a scenario in which a company knows there is gold in their data but the digging permit says they can only dig for it from far away. This talk explores how Airflow and AWS ECS Anywhere can be used to allow companies to be compliant with data residency laws while processing user data. It does so by going through a use case of an EU-based company that has recently taken over their US competitor. With US data governance laws stating that US citizen’s data can only be processed in data centers in the US and the company having established ETL processes, a relatively simple and inexpensive addition to their ETL processes helps to solve their problems.

🎙️ How to work with GenAi and Bedrock Agents?

📣 Bjarni Spans, Developer @ inQdo

Discover the future of AI-powered customer interaction with a live demo of AWS Bedrock’s Claude models. This presentation showcases an all-in-one package featuring agents, general chat, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG). See firsthand how seamlessly these tools enhance efficiency and engagement, powered by the latest advancements in generative AI. Dive into real-world applications with the sample project from AWS Bedrock’s Claude Chat and witness the potential of intelligent automation in action.

🎙️ How to structure projects with Projen?

📣 Ben Buitendijk, Developer @ inQdo

Get started with Projen to easily structure your projects with an automated, standardized setup! Using Projen’s CLI, you can quickly generate a well-organized project foundation that’s ready to go. Projen’s modular layout—featuring folders for source code, libraries, assets, and documentation—is designed to adapt to your project’s unique needs and can be expanded with custom components. By handling configurations and maintaining consistency for you, Projen makes project management effortless, allowing you to focus on building while following best practices.

🎙️ Exploring Amazon Q Developer: An AI-Assisted Coding Tool 📣 Amer Grgić, Senior Solutions Architect @ Amazon Web Services This talk introduces Amazon Q Developer, a new AI-powered coding assistant designed to support software developers. We’ll examine its key features and potential impact on coding practices. The session will provide an overview of Amazon Q Developer’s capabilities, including demonstrations of its code completion and suggestion features. We’ll explore examples of how it can assist with common coding tasks and discuss its integration with existing development environments.
