Sessions
Session 1: Anneke Keller - How to become a CTO
I do get this question sometimes. Spoiler-alert, I can’t really tell you in half an hour or even at all. But what I can do is tell you about the mistakes I have made and the lessons I have learned. You never know, maybe you can learn a thing or two from me, so that you don’t need to find it out yourself. Note: while this talk isn’t strictly an AWS topic, we think it’s very on-point for many engineers as a place they one day want to reach in their career.
Session 2: Joep Piscaer - What is Team Topologies and why is it showing up in the AWS Well-Architected guides?
Team Topologies is a practical guide to organize business and technology teams that produce software for fast flow. It focuses on how teams collaborate and interact as some teams create the software directly, while others support those teams with cloud or data platforms. In this talk, you’ll learn more about the basics of Team Topologies and how they mesh with DevOps principles, how it relates to building cloud infrastructure and data platforms, and how platform teams can facilitate smoother workflows for development and data teams to create better software faster, while making engineers happier. By the end of the session, you’ll have a clear understanding of how to apply these strategies in your own organization, using the AWS Well-Architected guidelines as a stepping stone.
Semi-finals football
We aim to be finished between 19:30 and 20:00. The game starts at 21:00 so there should be plenty of time to get home!
