Event details

Thanks Bynder, for inviting the community to your office in Rotterdam! We’ll have 3 great speakers on the agenda with various topics around DDoS Resiliency best practices, a serverless pet project and using Terraform ‘at scale’. Are you lucky to secure one of the few seats available? Please cancel your RSVP in case you cannot join, so we don’t waste food and give everyone a fair opportunity to attend.

This meetup will not be recorded or live streamed.

Terraform at Scale: Trusting your infrastructure changes to a lost underwater city
Miguel Alexandre, Senior DevOps Engineer @ Bynder

So you have your infrastructure written with terraform code and pushed to a git repository. What next? In this short talk I’ll introduce Atlantis as an option for automating terraform changes and pull requests. I’ll go over how we implemented Atlantis to handle thousands of terraform states and hundreds of change requests every month. I’ll finish with a sneak peak on our custom IAM implementation that helps us keep compliant and give our development teams the speed they need to deliver software.

Managing volunteering work using Serverless technology
Joris Conijn, Cloud Consultant, AWS Authorised Instructor & AWS Community Builder @ Xebia

I recently created a pet project to combine proven technology from my professional life with my personal life. Over time it became harder to effectively manage your schedules for volunteering work in sporting clubs. Your name would just be printed in a schedule in the local sport paper. Due to legislation like AVD and GDPG this was no longer an option, and the alternatives are overlooked or even ignored. So I took on the challenge to built a solution that could address this using the power of AWS.
