AWS Meetup: 2 Year Anniversary

November 8th, 2017 we organized our first AWS meetup in Amsterdam. During this event we will celebrate this anniversary with special talks and lightning talks. Good food, a birthday cake and drinks.

The AWS Meetup, it’s still day 1 (5 min)

Speaker: Martijn van Dongen The Amazon Flywheel is probably familiar for many of you, nonetheless you’ll get a quick introduction. I created a similar model for the AWS meetups, and implemented many more Amazon / AWS practices. Learn how many of you contributed to the community, and what to expect next year!

Building Alexa Skills (20 min)

Speaker: Amer Grgic Ever wondered how to build Alexa Skills? In this talk, Amer Grgic will walk you through the steps to building an Alexa skills. Some of the example will feature techniques like AWS Lambda, Rekognition, S3 and the Alexa Skills Kit.

Parking: deep learning to the rescue (10 min)

Speaker: Leon Degeling In this 10 minute talk, I will show you how I deployed 7 AWS services to optimize parking saving at least 10 seconds per day. (Covers: Sagemaker, DeepLens, S3, SNS, DynamoDB, Rekognition, Textract and an IOS-app)

Speakers: Zhe Sun, Luuk Figdor To overcome the challenges of productionizing models from a PoC, AWS Professional Service team introduces a framework to deploy models faster and more manageable. Services such as AWS CodePipeline, AWS CodeCommit, AWS CodeBuild, AWS CloudFormation, Amazon Sagemaker, AWS Step Functions, AWS Lambda, AWS Glue, Amazon DynamoDB are used.
